I specialize in information design, data visualization, graphic design and digital media. Every project starts with content, which is the base for the further shaping and visuals.
In a world where information is becoming increasingly complex and overwhelming, Channin helps create clarity. Not by oversimplifying, but by identifying what truly matters and communicating it in a way that is both understandable and visual. Simplicity where possible, depth where needed.
Background & experience
My fascination with experiencing and visualizing information started during my studies Interaction Design and Multimedia Design at ArtEZ University of the Arts amongst others. It grew even stronger during my internship at Domestic Data Streamers in Barcelona, where physical installations and data visualizations, both digital and analogue, were developed with as much attention for the process as for the final outcome.
My graduation project, Moment == Memory, also played an important role in shaping my journey to become a designer. Combining technology, data and emotion, the project was exhibited internationally and received several awards, including the Young Talent Award during the Dutch Design Week. These experiences gave me the confidence to follow my own path and continue choosing content, experimentation and curiosity over conventional means.
Today, all experiences come together in a wide variety of projects, ranging from personal explorations to work for individuals, organizations and businesses.
A personal studio
Channin is a small design studio with a personal approach. That means close communication, collaboration and my genuine involvement throughout the process. Every project thrives through dialogue, the context and the people behind it.
Being open to ideas and new challenges creates space to look beyond the obvious solution. Collaboration should feel approachable and enjoyable, not complicated and distant. You’re never left to figure things out on your own. I will guide you through the entire process, from the very first idea to the final result.
Design philosophy
A good design starts with listening and understanding. Chaos, noise and unnecessary details make information difficult to comprehend and they hide the message you want to communicate. Channin believes that strong design brings structure, reveals connections and creates space for meaning, so the result becomes more than just something visually appealing.
Information design plays an important role in this process. By analyzing, organizing and visualizing information, insight and awareness emerge. This way of thinking is not limited to data visualizations. It also applies to visual identities, logos and other forms of communication. The result is a personal, well-considered and purposeful design that reaches your audience.
Creating meaningful design together
Every project deserves attention, precision and an open mindset. By continuously discussing, testing and refining ideas throughout the process, the result becomes not only visually strong, but also meaningful and strongly connected to the content.
